the eurovelo map

this doesnt show an awful lot of detail but we are planning on following route 7 from norway down through finland, sweden, denmark, germany, czech republic, austria and italy. total milage should be 4603 or 7409 km!
We hope to complete in circa three months, based on a rate of 40 miles a day average. obviously some days we will do more or less and perhaps the odd rest day. this should be fairly achievable what with it only being 4 hours a day at 10 miles an hour. should be a breeze without any sandwiches! must pack light.....

it begins!

In july of 2010, three of us will set off on the eurovelo route 7 from the northern cape of norway, to the southern most point of sicily, in aid of charity. The details are yet to be confirmed but the planning has begun!
the adventurous trio comprise of myself ali, a cycling sandwich lady/artist based in Wimbledon, Philippa, who i met cycling at Darwins Deli, she doubles as an extremely accident prone occupational therapist in Australia, and finally Hazel, a Doctor, who does not cycle around the hospital, but is often to be seen speeding around the roads of west london.
Our charity has not been firmly decided yet, but we are looking at something like the starlight foundation which grants the wishes of terminally ill children.
Obviously the trip will be both a great experience and challenge for us, but more importantly we hope to raise a shed load of money!
